The Board of Police Commission of the City of Geneseo was called to order at 8:30 AM, in the Geneseo Police Department Conference Room, with the following members present:

POLICE COMMISSION BOARD PRESENT: Chairman Doug Emerick and Member James Urquiza

POLICE COMMISSION BOARD ABSENT: Secretary Kim Hankins

STAFF PRESENT: Communications Supervisor/Administrative Assistant Jessica Damewood

PUBLIC PRESENT:

1 Roll Call

1.1. Also Present: Chief Casey Disterhoft, Deputy Chief Kondon Karzin and Officer Timothy Steines.

Meeting began at 1656.

2 Public Comment - Limit of 3 minutes per person

2.1. No public for comment.

3 Closed Session

3.1. Background Information/Hiring

(1) The appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance, or dismissal of specific employees,

James Urquiza moved, seconded by Doug Emerick, Motion to Enter Closed Session

RESULT: Carried

MOVER: James Urquiza

SECONDER: Doug Emerick

AYES: Doug Emerick and James Urquiza

ABSENT: Kim Hankins

Doug Emerick moved, seconded by James Urquiza, Motion to move forward with Amber Berthoud and the conditional offer of employment and further pre-employment testing of medical, polygraph and psychological and then employment if passed.

RESULT: Carried

MOVER: Doug Emerick

SECONDER: James Urquiza

AYES: Doug Emerick and James Urquiza

ABSENT: Kim Hankins
