City of Geneseo Board of Police Commission met Sept. 7.

The Board of Police Commission of the City of Geneseo was called to order on Tuesday, September 7, 2021, at 8:30 AM, in the Geneseo Police Department Conference Room, with the following members present:
ZONING BOARD PRESENT: Chairman Doug Emerick and Member James Urquiza
ZONING BOARD ABSENT: Secretary Kim Hankins
STAFF PRESENT: Communications Supervisor/Administrative Assistant Jessica Damewood

Also present: Chief Casey Disterhoft and Deputy Chief Gene Karzin
Meeting was called to order at 0830 by Chairman Emmerick.
2 Public Comment - Limit of 3 minutes per person
None
3 Approval of Meeting Minutes
3.1. Approval of minutes of previous meetings: March 26, 2021, April 19, 2021, May 04, 2021 and August 10, 2021.
James Urquiza moved, seconded by Doug Emerick, Motion to approve the minutes of the previous meeting.

5 NEW BUSINESS
5.1. Lateral List
Only person that is left is Pederson. List is still active at this point. Pederson was informed of the conditional offer to Berthoud.
5.2. New Hire List
The current new hire list is still valid until December 28, 2022. There is no further issue with this list at this time.
5.3. Officer Schulte Update
Chief and DC related that Officer Schulte is doing well so far and that he is ready to move from Officer Sullivan to Officer Marquez.
5.4. Amber Berthoud Update
Chief and DC related that her projected start date is September 27. Her next appointment is on September 7, 2021.
5.5. Commission Training
Upcoming training dates are November 5-7, 2021. Commissioners are interested. Commissioners will be signed up for what they would like to attend.
