Report: East Moline School District spent $12,089 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at East Moline School District 37 was up 10.1 percent from five years ago, according to the Rock Island Today analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Rock Island County school district spent $10,982 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $12,089 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 2,804 to 2,714 students over the same period.

East Moline's spending in 2019-20 was 16.6 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
