Report: Alwood School District spent $12,869 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Alwood Community Unit School District 225 was up 4.5 percent from five years ago, according to the Rock Island Today analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Henry County school district spent $12,315 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $12,869 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 398 to 377 students over the same period.

Alwood's spending in 2019-20 was 11.2 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
