Report: Hampton School District spent $9,927 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Hampton School District 29 was up 15.1 percent from five years ago, according to the Rock Island Today analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Rock Island County school district spent $8,627 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $9,927 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment remained unchanged over the same period, with 224 students.

Hampton's spending in 2019-20 was 31.5 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
