City of East Moline Special Service Area Committee met Nov. 23.
Here are the minutes provided by the committee:
Roll Call: SSA – Adam, Michelle, Martin, Larry, and Patricia (SSA & Main Street). City – Reggie and Jayne Absent John and Terry Guest: none present
Approval of Minutes: October minutes were presented and a motion to accept as written by Martin with a second from Michelle minutes are approved. We need to back and approve July and August next meeting.
Financial Report – No financial report given
Façade/Fencing Program – No new submissions currently.
Bills – Adam Guthrie: Patricia’s and Michelle’s for Respect Abilities both for two months to complete payments thru year end. Motion by Larry with second from Martin bills will be paid.
Directors Report – Adam: Adam will investigate a lighting maintenance program with adding the additional lighting at Runner’s Park having someone contracted to take care of it regularly makes sense. Changing times on when the lights are on was discussed.
Flower Report – Michelle Horton – mums will be moved and planted. Keeping up on certain parking lots trash is difficult owners need to be more aware.
Main Street Report – Patricia Hansen: Phase 3 Runner’s Park concrete and Barricades or cones for Christmas Toy giveaway – talking to Todd. Shop Small plans were discussed. February Main Street Meeting will be at the Whiskey Stop and feature presentations from Main Street, SSA and the City. Need to order one hanging basket to replace one that was stolen. A motion for Patricia to order was made by Larry with a second from Michelle Patricia will submit the bill in January.
Runner’s Park – We have a strand of lights out.
9th Street Commons – Still working on getting by in from all involved. More information soon.
New Business – The need to order one hanging basket to replace one that was stolen, Patricia had a quote from the company. A motion for Patricia to order was made by Larry with a second from Michelle, Patricia will submit the bill in January.
Larry brought up the need for a directory to keep business in our area during large events at the Rust Belt, Expo and Hyatt. Patricia told him of the directory that is being worked on currently and close to completion.
The Palace is opening tonight for a soft opening.
