City of Moline Fire and Police Commission met Nov, 9.

Meeting Called to Order

Commissioner Flowers called the meeting to order at 4:31 p.m.

Roll Call of Members

Roll call performed; Commissioner Flowers and Commissioner Lindsey present, Commissioner Nelson absent.

Approval of Minutes

Commissioner Flowers made a motion to approve the October 19, 2021 Special Meeting minutes; Commissioner Lindsey seconded; roll call vote performed, motion unanimously carried.

Commissioner Lindsey made a motion to approve the November 1, 2021 Special and Executive Meeting minutes; Commissioner Flowers seconded; roll call vote performed, motion unanimously carried.

Commissioner Lindsey made a motion to approve the November 3, 2021 Special and Executive Meeting minutes; Commissioners Flowers seconded; roll call vote performed, motion unanimously carried.

Fire: Resignation

Chief Snyder advised the Commission Firefighter Ashley Anderson submitted her resignation notice dated October 14, 2021 to be effective October 30, 2021. Ms. Anderson is moving from the area and leaves on good terms. Chief Snyder requested the Commission consider and accept the resignation as submitted. Commissioner Lindsey made a motion to accept the resignation of Firefighter Ashley Anderson; Commissioner Flowers seconded; roll call vote performed, motion unanimously carried.

The minutes reflect the arrival of Commissioner Nelson to the meeting (virtually) at 4:37 pm.

Fire: Authorization to Fill Vacancy

Chief Snyder requested authorization to fill the vacancy created by the resignation of Firefighter Ashley Anderson. Chairperson Nelson made a motion to authorize filling the vacancy; Commissioner Lindsey seconded; roll call vote performed, motion unanimously carried.

HR: Police Officer Eligibility Register

Leah Miller, HR Director, presented the Police Officer Eligibility Register compiled with the results of the most recent recruitment and testing process effective 11/9/21-11/8/22. It was also noted that one candidate (#4) was transferred from the 3/9/21-3/8/22 eligibility register. The candidate will remain on the 11/9/21 eligibility register through 3/8/22 only. Commissioner Lindsey made a motion to approve the Police Officer Eligibility Register for the period November 9, 2021 through November 8, 2022; Chairperson Nelson seconded; roll call vote performed, motion unanimously carried.

Remote Attendance Verification

Commissioners attending in-person and remotely verified, via roll call, the meeting was heard and understood in its entirety.

Adjournment

With no further business to discuss, Chairperson Nelson made a motion to adjourn; Commissioner Lindsey seconded; meeting adjourned at 4:42 p.m.
