Analysis: Riverdale administrators rank 527th in state for average pay

Administrators in Riverdale Community Unit School District 100 earn an average of $96,555 per year, ranking 527th out of 864 districts in Illinois, according to a Rock Island Today analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card.

The 2020 average is 11.8 percent higher than in 2016 and 3.3 percent lower than in 2011. District administrators make 13.2 percent less than the state average of $111,293.

Administrator salaries depend on the district's size, location and resources, as well as the individual's level of experience and education, according to the Illinois State Board of Education report.

The Riverdale School District in Rock Island County enrolled 1152 students in 2019-2020. There is an average of 230 students for every administrator, compared to a statewide ratio of 171 to 1.
