Learn more about Eastern Iowa Community Colleges’ (EICC) High School Career Academies at an upcoming Career Academy Information Session, with in-person and virtual options on Wednesday, Feb. 1, and Wednesday, Feb. 8.Career Academies are an exciting opportunity for high school students to get a jump-start on their career education, while still in high school, at no cost. Students can complete anywhere from a semester to a full year of college coursework while they’re still in high school, saving valuable time and money.“Career Academies are a great way for students, who aren’t sure what they want to do after high school, to get real exposure to a career field and learn what it’s all about,” said Heather Evans, Assistant Director for Admissions and Community Outreach at EICC.Career Academies span in-demand fields in industrial technology, human services and education, agriculture, automotive technology, business, culinary, criminal justice, healthcare, and information technology.
