Geneseo Community Unit School District 228 had the highest enrollment among Henry County districts, welcoming 2,466 students during the 2021-22 school year, according to the Illinois State Board of Education report.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2021-22 school year, 51.8% of them were boys, and 48.2% were girls.

Data also showed that the majority of students were white, making up 89.6% of the Geneseo Community Unit School District 228's total enrollment.

Among the nine districts in Henry County, Kewanee Community Unit School District 229 ranked second in enrollment numbers with 1,905 students, while Orion Community Unit School District 223 welcomed 965 students and ranked third in the 2021-22 school year.

In the previous school year, Geneseo Community Unit School District 228 also had the highest number of students among Henry County districts.
