3. Illinois Fire and Police Commissioners Association Member Renewal (Teri Ray, Administrative Assistant)
NEW BUSINESS
1. Full-time Appointment of Firefighter/Paramedic (Steve Regenwether, Fire Chief)
Explanation: Edward Holtkamp successfully completed his probationary period as a Firefighter/Paramedic effective December 20, 2023.

Staff Recommendation: Staff recommends the full-time appointment of Firefighter/Paramedic Edward Holtkamp effective December 20, 2023.
2. Amendments to the Rules and Regulations of the Board of Fire and Police Commissioners (Darren Gault, Chief of Police)
Explanation: The Rules and Regulations were last updated in 2022. Staff is proposing the Board consider continuous testing to allow us to accept applications on an open basis and test those applicants more frequently such as monthly. Additionally, staff is proposing having a minimum oral interview score for promotional examinations, similar to that of the original application process.

Staff Recommendation: Staff recommends acceptance of the changes to the Rules and Regulations of the Board of Fire and Police Commissioners as presented, pending final review by corporate legal counsel and submission to the City Council for final approval.
3. Approval of Annual Report (Teri Ray, Administrative Assistant: Office of Police Chief) Explanation: The 2023 Annual Report of the Board of Fire and Police Commission is attached for review and approval.

Staff Recommendation: Staff recommends the approval of the 2023 Annual Report.
