Rock Island County Governance, Health, and Administration Committee met April 8.

Here is the agenda provided by the committee:

1. Call to order and roll call

2. Public Comment

3. Approval of the minutes from the March 11th, 2024 Governance, Health & Administration Meeting

4. Reports to the Committee

5. Consider Proclamation for National Small Business Week

6. Consider Letter of Understanding Joint Venture LU-2-24-061 with IL/IA Departments of Transportation

RE: Maintenance Responsibility for Multi-Use Path on New I-80 Bridge

7. Consider Sheriff’s Office ARPA Request; Vehicle Firearm Storage Systems for Patrol Rifles

8. Consider Annual Dispatch Contracts for Volunteer Fire & Ambulance Services

9. Consider Sheriff’s Office Renewal Agreement with Village of Andalusia for Policing Services

10. The Committee may enter into Closed Session per the following:

 5 ILCS 120/2(c) (1) – The appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance, or dismissal of specific employees of the public body or legal counsel for the public body, including hearing testimony on a complaint lodged against an employee of the public body or against legal counsel for the public body to determine its validity.

 5 ILCS 120/2(c) (2) – Collective negotiating matters between the public body and its employees or their representatives, or deliberations concerning salary schedules for one or more classes of employees.

 5 ILCS 120/2(c) (11) – Litigation, when an action against, affecting or on behalf of the particular public body has been filed and is pending before a court or administrative tribunal, or when the public body finds that an action is probably or imminent, in which case the basis for the finding shall be recorded and entered into the minutes of the closed meeting.

11. Consider Action as necessary based on closed session

12. Review of pending/proposed state legislation & policy matters affecting Rock Island County

13. Committee member opportunity for brief comment (no decisions will be made)

14. Adjourn

The next regularly scheduled meeting of the Governance, Health & Administration committee will be MONDAY, MAY 13th, 2024 at 10:00 AM
