City of Colona City Council will meet July 8.

CONSENT AGENDA:

1. Approve payment of bills/Claims by Vendor report for the period of June 25 -July 8, 2024

2. Approve payroll for the period June 26-July 10,2024

3. Approve Treasurer’s Report for June 2024

4. Approve Minutes from June 24, 2024 City Council Meeting.

OLD BUSINESS:

1. Discussion and possible action: Finance/Admin Committee requests more information on the subject of Lateral Transfer for Police Department and Public Works. More details and clarification of proposed part-time officers lateral transfer process and integration into current full-time wage scale. Also, input from City Attorney on needed language, amendments (if any), and any conflict with current bargaining contracts. Committee Members want to be more informed on what they are actually acting on and cost effects of these actions. Chief to have outline.

NEW BUSINESS:

1. Approve new full-time Admin/Billing Clerk position. Starting salary of $16.48 as per Collective Bargaining Contract, Finance/admin Committee recommends. (This action is to enhance The City’s policy of cross-training and back-up of all admin positions)

2. Approve sending City Clerk and Deputy Clerk to training provided by Illinois Clerks Association in Conjunction with IML, Includes registration fees and travel expenses. Money has already been appropriated in budget -Finance/Admin Committee recommends.

3. Approve Café rental rate for use as meeting or special small activities on an hourly/daily basis. 2hrs-$100.00, 4hrs-$160.00, etc. Rate would be same as present rate of Activity Center, and Pavilion. Finance/Admin Committee, and Mayor recommend -Will contract fire inspection to set capacity limit.
