Rock Island County Governance, Health, and Administration Committee met Oct. 7.

Here is the agenda provided by the committee:

1. Call to order and roll call

2. Public Comment

3. Approval of the minutes from the September 9th, 2024 Governance, Health & Administration Meeting

4. Reports to the Committee

5. Consider JAG Grant for Sheriff’s Office

6. Consider replacement of County Phone Hardware

7. Consider Proclamation for Augustana Symphonic Band November 2024

8. Consider Proclamation for National Veteran and Military Familys' Month November 2024

9. Consider Ordinance regulating public camping within unincorporated Rock Island County and on properties owned by Rock Island County

10. Consider Laserfiche Software for Document Organization and Retention for the Administration Office

11. Consider renewal contract with Devnet

12. The Committee may enter into Closed Session per thefollowing:

5 ILCS 120/2(c) (1) – The appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance, or dismissal of specific employees of the public body or legal counsel for the public body, including hearing testimony on a complaint lodged against an employee of the public body or against legal counsel for the public body to determine its validity

5 ILCS 120/2(c)(5). The purchase or lease of real property for the use of the public body, including meetings held for the purpose of discussing whether a particular parcel should be acquired.

5 ILCS 120/2(c) (2) – Collective negotiating matters between the public body and its employees or their representatives, or deliberations concerning salary schedules for one or more classes of employees.

5 ILCS 120/2(c) (11) – Litigation, when an action against, affecting or on behalf of the particular public body has been filed and is pending before a court or administrative tribunal, or when the public body finds that an action is probably or imminent, in which case the basis for the finding shall be recorded and entered into the minutes of the closed meeting.

13. Consider Action as necessary based on closed session

14. Review of pending/proposed state legislation & policy matters affecting Rock Island County Committee member opportunity for brief comment (no decisions will be made)

15. Adjourn
