City of Moline Special Events Committee met Aug. 27,
Here is the agenda provided by the committee:
1. Approval of the July 23, 2025 Meeting Minutes
2. Consideration of an updated Special Event Application for the RCG’s 30th Anniversary Block Party that is planned to take place in parking lot W and a portion of the alley, 4th Avenue A between 17th Street and 18th Street. This event is scheduled to be held Thursday, September 25, 2025 from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. (this includes set-up and clean-up time). Supporting information and special consideration requests are detailed in the Special Event Application.
3. Consideration of a Special Event Application from the Alzheimer’s Association for the Walk to End Alzheimer’s Fundraiser that is scheduled for Saturday, September 19, 2026. This event route will need to be altered due to River Drive construction. Supporting information and special consideration requests are detailed in the Special Event Application.
4. Consideration of a Special Event Application for the Lighting on the Commons event that is scheduled for Saturday, November 22, 2025. This event requires the full closure of 15th Street between River Drive and 3rd Avenue A. Supporting information and special consideration requests are detailed in the Special Event Application.
