City of Moline Traffic Engineering Committee met Sept. 3.

Here is the agenda provided by the committee:

1. Call to Order – Laura Klauer

2. Roll Call – Laura Klauer

3. Approval of minutes of the Traffic Engineering Committee meeting of August 5, 2025.

4. Resident request stop signs at intersection of 43rd Street & 5th Avenue for north and south bound traffic.

Explanation: At this intersection, there is a stop for east and west bound traffic only. Resident is requesting due to similar issues that were at the intersection of 53rd Street & 5th Avenue, in which it was converted to an all-way stop.

5. Manager of “The Tattered Shoe” at 1518 15th Street is requesting a second 15-minute parking restriction for customers at 1522 15th Street.

Explanation: One (1) 15-minute parking stall was approved at the August 5, 2025 Traffic Engineering Committee, to be placed in front of “The Tattered Shoe” at 1518 15th Street, for “15 Minute Parking,

Any person with disabilities who wishes to attend the meeting who requires a special accommodation, or any other person requiring a special accommodation in attending the meeting, should notify the City Engineer’s Office, 524-2350, at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled meeting time.

8AM-6PM, Monday thru Saturday”. Manager is now requesting a second 15-minute stall to also accommodate customers of “G’s Gourmet Popcorn” at 1522 15th Street.

The Tattered Shoe – Tuesday thru Saturday 10:00am to 5:00pm

G’s Gourmet Popcorn – Tuesday thru Saturday 10:00am to 6:00pm.
