1. Meeting called to order: At 4:07 p.m. by Vice Chair Adamson

2. Roll Call

3. Public Comment – None

4. Certificate of Appropriateness – Deere-Wiman Carriage House Replacement Window Jan Stoffer with the Butterworth Center & Deere-Wiman House (BWC) was at the meeting to represent the William Butterworth Foundation on the Certificate of Appropriateness (CoA) application to replace a window on the Deere-Wiman Carriage House located at 909 11th Avenue. A south-facing first floor replacement window is failing. The jamb, stool, and sill have significant rot that has led to serious deterioration that cannot be restored. The repair requires the removal of the window, which will cause further failure to the trim. It appears that this wood trim was replaced when the replacement window was installed in 2007 and these elements are not historic in nature. The historic outer casing will remain intact and not impacted by this project. The last replacement window was installed in 2007, prior to the historic landmarking of the property. An exact replica of the window has been found. The BWC requests permission to purchase and install an exact replica of this replacement window and subsequent trim, which will be painted according to the existing color scheme. The size and shape of the window will not be impacted. The company BWC plans to buy the replacement window from is Marvin Windows. There is an eight-week lead time from ordering the replacement window to receiving it, and that is why Ms. Stoffer had asked the HPC for a Special Meeting today.

Motion made by Commissioner Dismer, seconded by Commissioner LeZotte to approve the application for Certificate of Appropriateness for the replacement window as long as it matches style, color, and configuration of the existing replacement window. Motion carried unanimously.

5. Adjournment

Motion made by Commissioner Dismer, seconded by Commissioner LeZotte to adjourn the meeting. Motion carried unanimously. Meeting adjourned at 4:25 p.m.
