SGA State of the Student Address will be held March 9.
Leaders from Western Illinois University's (WIU) Student Government Association (SGA) will present the SGA State of the Student Address March 9 in the Sherman Hall Auditorium.
SGA President Wil Gradle will deliver the address. Gradley will be joined by SGA Speaker of the Senate Jacob Tomlinson and WIU Student Trustee Michael Quigley.
Among the topics Gradley is expected to cover is the impact of the state's budget impasse on WIU, a public university.
"There are many rumors and misconceptions being shared among the student body, and we want to use this time to present truthful information to our peers," Gradle said. "Not only do we want to dispel these rumors, we want to share the many positive happenings going on at Western Illinois University."
The address is open to students, faculty and staff. The event begins at 3 p.m.
WIU is located at 1 University Circle, Macomb.
