Hampton Board of Trustees purchases snow plow parts

The village of Hampton Board of Trustees met Nov. 28 to purchase snow plow parts.

BE IT REMEMBERED, THAT THERE CAME AND WAS HELD A REGULAR MEETING OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF HAMPTON, LLINOIS IN THE VILLAGE HALL OFSAID VILLAGE:

President Protem called the meeting to order at 7:00 PM. Deputy Clerk DeGeeter called the roll noting a quorum present and the Pledge of Allegiance was recited.

Approval of the Minutes of the Regular Meeting of November 14, 2016: Motion by Trustee Hamilton, second by Trustee Wershaw to approve the minutes as presented. Roll call vote as follows: Hamilton, Vershaw, King, HeintZ, VanDieren, Griffin:

Aye". Motion carried.

Approval and Authorization for Payment of Bills: Motion by Trustee Vershaw, second by Trustee King to approve bills and authorize for payment. Roll call vote as follows: Vershaw, King, Heintz, Hamilton, Van Dieren, Griffin: "Aye”. Motion carried.

Discussion of the Revenues vs. Disbursements Report: Discussed briefly.

Consideration and Approval of Ordinance # 796 Levying Taxes for All

Corporate Purposes for the Fiscal Year Beginning May 1, 2016 and Ending

April 30, 2017: Motion by Trustee Heintz, second by Trustee Vershaw to approve Ordinance if 796. Roll call vote as follows: Heintz, Wershaw, Hamilton, King, VanDieren,

Griffin: Aye". Motion carried.

Consideration and Approval for Ordinance # 797 Abating the Tax Levied for the Year 2011 to Pay the Debt Service on $170,000 General Obligation Street Improvement Bonds, Series 2011: Motion by Trustee Wershaw, second by Trustee King to approve Ordinance # 797. Roll call vote as follows: Vershaw, King, Hamilton, VanDieren, Griffin: Aye". Heintz: abstain". Motion carried.

Consideration and Approval for the Purchase of Snow Plow Wing Extensions for 2014 F350: Motion by Trustee Heintz, second by Trustee King to approve the purchase of snow plow wing extensions. Roll call vote as follows: King, Heintz, Hamilton, VanDieren,

Vershaw, Griffin: Aye". Motion carried.

Consideration and Approval for the Purchase of Water Bill Blanks from QC Press: Motion by Trustee King, second by Trustee Wershaw to approve the purchase of water bill blanks from QC Press. Roll call as follows: King, Wershaw, Heintz, Hamilton, Van Dieren, Griffin: "Aye”. Motion Carried.

Consideration and Approval for the Renewal of the Software License Fee and Support Fee for the Water Billing Program: Motion by Trustee King, second by Trustee Griffin to approve the software license fee and support fee for water billing program. Roll callas follows: King, Griffin, Hentz, Hamilton, Van Dieren, Vershaw: "Aye”. Motion carried.

Discussion of Request to Purchase Willage Owned Property: Attorney Lee will be getting more information.

Committee Reports.

Streets and Alleys: No report.

Public Safety: No report.

Police Chief Report: Chief Engle reported that the Blue and Red Christmas is going well, they will be hosting seventeen children this year.

Fire Rescue Chief Report: No report.

Finance: No report.

Administration, Insurance and Code Enforcement: No report.

Village Clerk: Reviewed proposed health insurance rates for renewal in December. Clerk Toason also asked about the deducting sewer charges for filling Swimming pools and if the intent was to include hot tubs. Discussed. Motion by Trustee Vershaw, second by Trustee Heintz. That the original ordinance/motion was not exclusive to pools then it needs to be. Roll call vote as follows: Vershaw, Heintz, Hamilton, Van Dieren, Griffin: "Aye”. King "abstain”. Motion carried. Clerk Toalson will research the original motion.

Public Works: Trustee Vershaw reported about a water main break on 10" Avenue, repaired on Thanksgiving Day.

Supervisor Report: No report.

Parks & Recreation: No report.

President's Report and Comments: No report.

Village Attorney Report: No report.

Acknowledgement of Visitors Who Desire to Address the Board: No one in the gallery addressed the Board.

Closed Session: There being no further business, it was motioned by Trustee King, second by Trustee Hamilton, to adjourn to closed session to discuss personnel. Roll call vote as follows: King, Hamilton, Heintz, Van Dieren, Vershaw, Griffin: "Aye”. Motion carried. The meeting was adjourned at 7:26 PM.
