South Moline Township Board of Trustees met Feb. 21.
Here is the minutes provided by the Board:
Present — Tracy Best, Supervisor; Andrea Anderson, Trustee; Brian Forsberg, Trustee; Lisa Griffin, Trustee; Kim Lazenby, Trustee; and Rob Vyncke, Clerk. Absent: Karin Martin, Assessor; Bob Schultz, Road Commissioner. Also present: Wayne Hill, Vance DeBruine and Luis Puentes
Meeting Called to Order — Meeting was called to order at 6:00 p.m. by Supervisor Best.
Pledge of Allegiance
Approval of Minutes — After some clarification and discussion concerning Veterans' programs that SMT supports, there was a motion by Anderson that we approve the minutes of February 07, 2017. Second by Griffin. Motion carried, with all voting in favor.
Officials' Report —
a. Road Commissioner — We have been working on road shoulders.
b. Assessor — None
c. Clerk — None
d. Trustees — None
e. Cemetery — They are now working on the budget.
f. Seniors — All is going well.
g. Youth — We have a request from the Youth Service Bureau for Whitey Verstraete's golf tournament. According to Best, we have always donated in the past. After some discussion, there was a motion by Anderson to donate $500.00 for corporate sponsorship. Second by Griffin. All ayes, motion carried.

Comments — DeBruine questioned why Joe Taylor is listed on the agenda as a trustee. Best answered that it is an error as it was probably printed on old stationery by mistake.
Adjournment — Motion by Anderson, second by Lazenby, that we adjourn the meeting. Motion carried, with all voting in favor. Meeting adjourned @ 6:15 p.m.
