Senior Expo in Carthage to offer free health screenings and services

State Senator Neil Anderson and Representative Norine Hammond are organizing a Senior Expo in Carthage. The event is scheduled for Thursday, July 10, 2025, from 9 AM to 12 PM at the Carthage Primary School located at 600 Miller Street.

The expo will offer free screenings and services such as Body Mass Index checks, Blood Pressure Screening, I-Cash, Prescription Drug Collection, A1C Screening (no fasting required), Safety in Your Home consultations, Assisted Living information, Fire Safety tips, Utility Savings advice, Diabetes Information sessions, Internet Scams awareness, Veterans Assistance and more.

Participants for the 2025 event include AGE Rehab & Medical Fitness, Alternatives for Older Adults, Alzheimer’s Association, Ameren Illinois Energy Efficiency Program, Aetna, AT&T, Carthage Fire & Rescue, Carthage Police Department, Carthage Public Library among others. Also participating are the Evergreen Center and various Hancock County departments including the Clerk's office and Health Department. Other notable participants include the Illinois Department of Veterans Affairs and several offices from the state government such as the Office of the Illinois Attorney General.

The event aims to provide valuable resources and information to seniors in the community through collaboration with numerous local organizations and service providers.
