Quad Cities visitors bureau welcomes several new faces

The Quad Cities Convention and Visitors Bureau (QCCVB) kicked off the 2018 fiscal year with new members and officers on Saturday, according to a press release.

The newly elected officers are Deanna Jensen-Valliere, chair at-large; Tim Huey, first vice chair, Scott County; Lori Wilson, second vice chair, Moline;  Mo Hyder, treasurer at-large; and Nancy Ballenger, past chair.

The QCCVB also announced new at-large board members Todd Hajduk and Jessica Licko-Avants. 

The new members will join Katelyn Darling, Jim Grafton, Chandler Poole, Jeff Reiter, Bill Renk, Jennifer Sautter, Kai Swanson and and Brigitte Tapscott. The group is also planning to name a representative from Davenport.  

Counties the QCCVB serves are Rock Island, Mercer, Warren and Henderson in Illinois, and Scott in Iowa. With an average of more than 1 million visitors a year, tourism has an estimated $837 million economic impact on the Quad Cities economy.
