City of Silvis Public Works met June 19.
Here is the minutes as provided by the council:
Chairman York called the meeting to order at 5:40pm and noted a quorum was present. There is one agenda item for consideration.
The MFT Resolution was the purpose and subject of the meeting. The expenditures budgeted was $165,000 and it was noted that the funds are used to maintain our city streets. Some examples of the use of MFT funds as follows; street patcher, equipment rental, street salt, street paint, Culverts, sidewalks, concrete patching, emulsion, tree maintenance, and rock. Jim noted that council has established a base dollar amount to keep in the fund; $200k and could be evaluated. Committee was in agreement to pass the resolution presented and the item would be placed on the June 20" COW agenda.
There were no other agenda items and the meeting was adjourned at 1800hours.
