City of Silvis Public Safety and Finance Committee met June 15.
Here is the minutes as provided by the committee:
Chairman Rick Lohse called the meeting to order at 5:00pm and noted a quorum was present to consider the agenda item.
The first item was discussion on the pay for the Deputy City Clerk. Chairman Lohse noted that the Deputy City Clerk is not compensated at this time. Since the Deputy Clerk is not an employee of the City we have discussed with the accountant and we will appropriate $4,500 for the rest of fiscal year 20172018. This will pay her $300 per month and $15.00 per hour when filling in for the City Clerk or attending training. This money will be appropriated in July and will be a line item in the City Clerk's budget.
