City of Silvis City Council met August 23.

Here is the minutes as provided by the council:

Re: Public Service Meeting 

Attendance: Caryn Unsicker, Rick Lohse, Bob Rockwell, Tony Trulson, Larry York, Kathy Hall 

Jim Nelson, Jim Grafton

Location: City Hall 12111"Street

Chairwoman Unsicker called the meeting to order at 3:55pm and noted a quorum was present. There are two agenda items for consideration.

The first request is permission to allow the Deputy City Clerk to attend Municipal Clerks of Illinois institute October 8 through 13. The class is offered in Springfield and the cost is estimated at $2,000. Clerk Nelson said that it is a budgeted item (he budgeted $2,900). She will be reimbursed transportation costs. She will be a registered municipal clerk. Committee was in agreement with the request and the item would be placed on the September 5" COW agenda.

The Second agenda item was discussion to allow the City Clerk to attend the Municipal Clerks of Illinois Academy October 11through 13. The class will be held in Springfield and the total cost would not to exceed $1000. Clerk Nelson said this was a budgeted item. Committee was in agreement with the request and the item would be placed on the September 5" COW agenda.

There were no other agenda items and the meeting was adjourned at 3:57pm.
