Rep. Dan Swanson (R-Alpha) has been busy putting in some time for those who put in time for the country, according to a press release.
Dozens of veterans and seniors came to the Aledo VFW Post 1571 on Tuesday to learn about resources from state and local agencies. Attendees like New Windsor residents Ron and Roberta Doubler, a veteran and his wife, told Swanson's staff that it was a fantastic opportunity to learn about things they'd not known were available to them, according to the press release.
"We owe a great debt to these men and women and this is just one small way we can make sure they know about services and programs helpful to them,” Swanson said in the press release.

He also hosted a fair in Galesburg on Wednesday and in Princeton on Thursday.
Swanson said that he hosts events like the resource fairs because he is a veteran, a veterans' advocate, as well as a legislator, and he sees these as a way to help veterans connect with services that can improve their lives.
