City of Silvis Park, Building, and Grounds Committee met August 29.
Here is the minutes provided by the Committee:
Chairman Trulson called the meeting to order at 4:07 pm and noted a quorum was present. There is one agenda item for consideration.
Doc's Inn has a request for an outdoor event on September 2". The Chief noted the music event is proposed from 4-11pm. There was some discussion as to the policy and it was suggested the time be moved to 5-11pm for six hour time limit. The event (for the Class of '97 reunion) will have an outdoor band. The request came in last Wednesday. Alderman York said he thought the policy would be enforced more stringently after the first of the year. Chairman Trulson thought the policy should be sent to respective businesses. Alderwoman Hall said she had no problem with the request from Doc's inn. Committee was in agreement with the request. Chairman Trulson felt that from here on there needs to be 30 day notice for planned events.
There were no other agenda items and the meeting was adjourned at 4:15 pm.
