East Moline is making yard maintenance easier this fall with free yard waste bags and a waiver of the required yard waste stickers, according to a press release.
Those interested in collecting free yard waste bags can do so at the Annex at 912 16th Ave., City Hall/Finance Department at 915 16th Ave. and the Maintenance Garage at 1200 13th Ave. The free bags are available throughout November; households can pick up one free bundle of bags each week with proof of residency.
Yard waste must be placed on the curb by 7 a.m. on the same day as normal trash collection and will not be collected over Thanksgiving week.
East Moline residents are typically required to purchase yellow yard waste stickers for $1.50 each.
