Analysis: Silvis pays $3.63 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Silvis Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 78.4 percent of the $442,579 the Silvis Police Pension Fund brought in last year, or $3.63 for every $1 from pension members, according to a Rock Island Today analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Silvis contributed $347,125 to the fund, which saw a $28,921 decrease in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $95,423, or 21.6 percent, in 2016. Another $31 came from other unspecified sources.
