Quad Cities Chamber recently issued the following announcement.

The Quad Cities entrepreneurial community is receiving statewide attention once again after four teams from the region competed in a pitchoff competition at the Surge Summit at the Hawkeye Innovation Expo. Four teams from the Quad Cities Venture School co-hort competed, with one team winning 2nd place and $2,000. In addition, two Quad-Cities alumni teams competed and placed in the alumni category.

Venture School, now in its fourth year in the Quad Cities, is a six-week accelerator program that helps entrepreneurs and existing firms test new business ideas through real-time feedback and customer interaction. There have been 37 teams of Quad Cities entrepreneurs that have completed Venture School since its launch in early 2015. Last year, we had two teams from the region earn top honors at the Venture School statewide pitch-off.

Congratulations to all that completed the Venture School program and participated in the pitchoff.
