Sherrard Central Fire Protection District responded to 13 calls in 2017 - 27.8 percent less than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in Sherrard included 10 fires - four structure fires, one vehicle fire and five other fires.

In all, the department saw $105,420 in fire loss - or about $10,542 per fire.

The department also received three false calls.

The Sherrard Central Fire Protection District had an annual budget of $372,304 in 2017.
