Orion Community Unit School District 223 Board met May 16.

Here is the minutes as provided by the board:

The meeting was called to order at the District Office, 1002 11th  Avenue, Orion, Illinois, at 6:30 p.m. by President Nedved. Present were members Cooper, Kane, Kayser, Nedved, and Nightingale. Late arrivals were: Abbott, time: 6:43 p.m.; and Monson, time: 7:10 p.m.         Roll Call


Motion by Nightingale, second by Kayser to enter executive session in accordance with paragraph 42a of the open meetings act to discuss the appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance, or dismissal of specific employees of the District or legal counsel for the District, including hearing testimony on a complaint lodged against an employee or against legal counsel for the District to determine its validity; and discussion of lawfully closed meeting minutes, whether for purposes of approval by the body of the minutes or semi-annual review of the minutes as mandated by Section 2.06. Ayes: Cooper, Kane, Kayser, Nedved, and Nightingale. MOTION CARRIED. Time: 6:35 p.m.            Executive Session           

Motion by Nightingale, second by Kane to come out of executive session. Voice Vote: All Ayes. MOTION CARRIED. Time: 7:40 p.m.        Come Out of Executive Session                          

Motion by Nightingale, second by Cooper to adjourn to regular meeting. Voice Vote: All Ayes. MOTION CARRIED. Time: 7:45 p.m.         Adjourn to Regular Meeting
