Rene Gellerman has been named the new President and CEO of the United Way of the Quad Cities Area.
The board chair described Gellerman as a forward-thinking leader that had a track record of turning big ideas into action.
“Her passion for building a stronger region for all Quad Citizens is contagious, and fits our mission to mobilize people and resources to improve lives in our community,” Don Doucette said.
Gellerman has been with the Quad Cities Chamber for 12 years and has most recently held the title of senior vice president and loaned executive to Q2030. During that time she was responsible for putting the Q2030 Regional Action Plan into play, volunteer development, community outreach and more.
She said she was excited about working with the United Way.
“My work with Q2030 provides the foundation and clarity on how we can maximize our donor investments and United Way’s impact in the region. I’m excited to work together with the more than 12,000 local United Way contributors, our partner businesses, agencies and the non-profit sector to influence lasting, measurable improvements in both individual well-being and region-wide social conditions,” Gellerman was quoted as saying.
