Quad Cities Convention and Visitors Center recently issued the following announcement.
Goodbye February! Hello March! The Open Mic Coffeehouse to benefit the Saint Joe's evening meal is Friday, March 8, 2019, from 7 p.m to 10 p.m. at First Lutheran Church Parish House, Rock Island, Illinois.
Bring songs or poems to share, or just bring your sing-a-long self. I will probably have a couple of Irish tunes to share.
Refreshments are served.
Donations are gratefully accepted and benefit the Saint Joseph's Evening Meal, which provides meals for the hungry Monday through Friday at the Rock Island Township Hall.
