Port Byron home prices fall in May 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in May 2017 in Port Byron fell by $7,500 while total sales increased by 50%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In May 2017, there were six homes sold, with a median sale price of $166,500 - a 4.3% decrease over the $174,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were four homes sold in Port Byron in May 2016.

The median sales tax in Port Byron for 2017 was $3,829. In 2016, the median sales tax was $3,834. This marks an decrease of 0.1%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 2.3%.
