Does networking on media sites such as LinkedIn really help you find a job? How long does it take to make a first impression in an interview? What would I need to do to work for the government?
Answers to these and other questions crucial to job seekers will be available at a 2019 Job Fair at the Spotlight Theatre in Moline on Wednesday, July 31. Sponsored by state Rep. Tony McCombie (R-Savanna) and state Sen. Neil Anderson (R-36th District), the fair will feature chances to obtain guidance on all aspects of job hunting as well as the opportunity to do on-the-spot interviewing with potential employers, as well as some educational institutions that offer job training.
The more than 45 public and private organizations participating, including Elliot Aviation, Goodwill of the Heartland, Harris Pizza, the Illinois State Police, Rhythm City Casino and UPS.
The fair will run from 9 a.m. to noon at the Spotlight Theatre at 1700 Seventh Ave. For a list of employers or more information, see Rep. McCombie’s website.
