Call to Order
Park Board President, John Knaack, called the meeting to order at 3:30 p.m. in the Public Works Conference Room.
Roll Call
Items on Consent
Approval of the Park Board Meeting Minutes of June 27, 2019.
Approval and acceptance of departmental June/July bill payment and departmental June/July revenue, expenditures, capital projects, park reserve and cemetery reports.
Omnibus Vote
Mike Waldron, seconded by Lauren Schrier, moved to approve items by omnibus vote. Motion carried with unanimous approval.
Items Not on Consent
Green Valley Park Moline Soccer Club Garage. The Moline Soccer Club is in the process of deeding property, that is part of the Covemaker Edition, 6114‐51st Avenue, Moline to the City of Moline and under the Park Board’s oversight. At which time the property will become an addition to the premises that the Soccer Club currently leases from the Park Board. Per Soccer Club’s request the garage will remain on the property, for their use, after the City takes possession. Board would like it specified on the lease agreement that the maintenance for the property and garage will be at the cost of the Moline Soccer Club. Staff recommended demolition of the house excluding the garage at 6114‐51 Avenue, Moline. Mike Waldron motioned to approve, motion seconded by Lauren Schrier. Motion carried unanimously.

Board would like this item on the non‐consent agenda for August.
3. Riverside Garden Weddings. (Lori Wilson, Parks Recreation Director)
4. Veterans Park Status After Flood. (Lori Wilson, Parks Recreation Director)
Board directed staff to open the road located in Veteran’s Park from 48th Street to the east side of the
Sky Raiders field. The road from the east side of the Sky Raiders field to 60th Street will remain closed.
Board directed staff to research the cost of turning that area into a bike path.
5. Riverside Cemetery Section 15. (Lori Wilson, Parks Recreation Director)
Board directed staff to engage a professional to evaluate the water problem and potential drain tile in the cemetery and give their opinion.
Other Business/Public Comment
The Butterworth Dog Park is doing well.
Park staff will continue to monitor and research options to deter the geese along Ben Butterworth Parkway.
