Introduction of Guests – Jolene Keeney

Approval of Minutes – October 14, 2019 – Motion by Senatra, seconded by Mack. Minutes approved.

Reports:

• Proposed Riverfront redevelopment: Depot Clock, Sears recognition – No report

• Main Street & Façade rehabilitation program – The committee has made some site visits including 400 24th St. At 3120 Avenue of the Cities, Mike McNeil has revised the design of the Harley’s project and the committee will review.

• Downtown Heritage Tour Web site and promotional materials - Barb Sandberg has updated the site to include the Sears building, the Axis hotel (5th Avenue building) and the old Deere building at 17th Street and 3rd Avenue.

• Mural and Public Art guidelines for Moline Centre – The committee narrowed the list from 7 firms to 2 and evaluation continues.

• Quad Cities Preservation Consortium – Consortium will meet on November 6.

• Spiegel Building - PMT is to discuss the possible sale or retention of the property.

• Carnegie Library Building – For Sale – No report

• Leedy Building Fire – No report

• First Covenant Church Fire – Inspection is upcoming. Damage is extensive.

• Prospect Park Pavilion -- Painting scheduled for spring 2020 - Nothing new to report

• Rock Island County Court House – Litigation pending – Appeals court will hear arguments on November 6 in Ottawa.

• Old Post Office – River Drive/3rd Ave. – For Sale – No report

• Other

Old Business:

• John Deere House – No report

• Redevelopment of the Collector Center site - PMT will discuss at next meeting

• Redevelopment of Ray’s Appliance site - PMT to discuss

• List of Moline’s historically and architecturally significant buildings –survey/inventory – work continues

• Other

New Business:

 Preservation of structure drawings by local architects of note - Ege, Senatra and Mack will meet and bring recommendation to commission.

 Rt. 92 Corridor Study – Rock Island to Silvis – Survey - Members were sent link to survey are encouraged to participate.
