Moline Public Library Board of Directors met Feb. 24.
Here is the minutes provided by the board:
I. Business Meeting Call to Order
Nelson, Chair, called the meeting to order at 12:05 p.m. in the Platinum Room at the Moline Public Library.
II. “Be Brave” Update
Zahn is working with Camera Corner to complete the series. The series will be up within the next few weeks.
III. Michael & Kelly Bird, Artists
Zahn presented a piece of artwork by Michael & Kelly Bird for purchase. After discussion, Rafferty moved to approve the purchase of the seashell mask for under $1000. The motion was seconded and passed unanimously.
IV. Rose Frantzen Exhibit?
Zahn has been in contact with Rose Frantzen in regards to a possible show on the blue wall. After discussion, Zahn will move forward to schedule a showing.
V. Future Projects
Zahn discussed a possible fundraiser for the art fund. He will work to provide a budget, a plan and bring it back to the committee.
VI. Other
Nelson is still waiting to hear back from Nathan Augustine, John Deere Art Manager, in regards to displaying John Deere artwork in our library.
