QUAD CITIES CONVENTION AND VISITORS CENTER: Learn United Quad Cities

Quad Cities Convention and Visitors Center recently issued the following announcement.

Even though classrooms remain closed as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, United Way, area superintendents, school districts and cultural institutions are working together to make learning accessible to all students and families at home. United Way Quad Cities in partnership with KWQC-TV6, 14 local school districts and area cultural institutions, has launched Learn United Quad Cities, a one-hour daily televised virtual classroom series. Tune into KWQC-TV6 for this hour-long, Monday-to-Friday program from 3 to 4 p.m., through May 29. The educational program will feature local teachers along with art and culture educators who will deliver daily lessons and demonstrations. Each day of the week is dedicated to a different age range, and each day spotlights a different school district or cultural institution: • Monday: Preschool through 2nd grade • Tuesday: 3rd through 5th grade • Wednesday: 6th through 8th grade • Thursday: 9th through 12th grade • Friday: Cultural institut
