Analysis: Moline pays $7.40 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Moline Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 88.1 percent of the $4,823,049 the Moline Police Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $7.40 for every $1 from pension members, according to a Rock Island Today analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Moline contributed $4,249,014 to the fund, which saw a $355,278 increase in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $574,035, or 11.9 percent, in 2018.
