City of Rock Island Arts Advisory Committee met June 10.

Call to Order and Roll Call
Temporary Chair Dawn Wohlford-Metallo called the virtual meeting to order at 4:10 PM.
Approval of the Agenda
Jodie Kavensky moved to approve the agenda for June 10, 2020. Carolyn Krueger seconded the motion. The motion carried unanimously on a vote of 6 to 0.
Approval of the Previous Meeting Minutes
Jodie Kavensky moved to approve the minutes for February 12, 2020. Amber Williams seconded the motion. The motion carried unanimously on a vote of 6 to 0.

Welcomed New Member
Stacey McIntosh introduced herself to the commission and gave everyone a brief background on herself.
Rainworks Project Discussion
Kathy Douglass provided information on the cost of two sets of stencils and two starter kits of product for the project. She also provided some details on how the spay works and where it could be sprayed. The Commission voted unanimously to purchase the stencils and starter kits using the money collected from the Art Meters. Jodie Kavensky motioned and Dawn Wohlford-Metallo seconded. The motion carried unanimously on a vote of 6 to 0.
2020 Rotating Sculpture Update
Dawn Wohlford-Metallo gave the commission an update on the installation of the new sculptures in the 2020 Rotating Sculpture Program. Within the next two weeks all but one sculpture is scheduled to be installed. The sculptor of “Reaching to the Moon” which will be located at the Five Point intersection, has been delayed due to the rioting in Chicago.
Vote for the 2020 Chair and Vice-Chair
The commission decided to table this vote until next month’s meeting.

Temporary Chair Dawn Wohlford-Metallo asked for a motion to adjourn. Amber Williams moved to adjourn. Joedy Cook seconded the motion. The motion carried unanimously on a vote of 6 to 0 at 4:35 PM.
