City of Rock Island Arts Advisory Committee met Aug. 12.

Call to Order and Roll Call
Chair Brett Hitchcock called the virtual meeting to order at 4:00 PM.
Approval of the Agenda
Amber Williams moved to approve the agenda for August 12, 2020. Carolyn Kruegerseconded the motion.
The motion carried unanimously on a vote of 8 to 0.
Approval of the Previous Meeting Minutes
Carolyn Krueger moved to approve the minutes for July 8, 2020. Jodie Kavensky seconded the motion.
The motion carried unanimously on a vote of 8 to 0.

Rainworks Project Update
Kathy Douglass told the committee that the Rainworks stenciling was well under way and listed the locations that had been completed and those that were left.
Discussion on Revisiting the 2015 Arts Plan
The commissioners and Aldermen Parker discussed updating the 2015 Arts Plan and also reintroducing themselves to the City Council at a Study Session to update the Council on the Arts Commission’s purpose, accomplishments, and goals.
