State Sen. Win Stoller (R-Germantown Hills) opened a new office in Geneseo, which he hopes will better serve his constituents in one of Illinois’ largest geographic Senate districts.

The senator welcomed constituents to the office's grand opening on Sept. 14.

“My staff and I are excited to open this office and be in Henry County!” he shared in a Facebook post.

Stoller said in a press release issued by his office that his district “spans as far west as the Mississippi River in Mercer County all the way east into LaSalle County.”

“I am beyond excited to establish this new district office in Geneseo,” the senator said. “This office will allow my staff and I to provide the people within and surrounding Henry County with the best possible constituent services in the most convenient way for them.”

Meanwhile, Stoller was among the Republican lawmakers who recently took their Democratic counterparts to task over the hasty approval of the state’s new redistricting maps.

NW Illinois News reported that Stoller demanded Gov. J.B. Pritzker veto the maps.

“It’s time for the governor to step in and keep his promise to veto them," Stoller said.

Rock Island Today recently reported that Stoller sponsored legislation that permitted the state’s Department of Natural Resources to transfer control of an unused, impassable area of the Rock Island Trail to the Village of Dunlap.

“The Rock Island Trail is a popular destination point for outdoor enthusiasts throughout the state and even the nation,” Stoller said in a press release. “The signing of this bill will help improve the experience for everyone who uses the trail, and more importantly it will improve safety.”
