City of East Moline Special Service Area Committee met March 22.

Here are the minutes provided by the committee:

Roll Call: SSA – Adam, Michelle, Martin, John, and Patricia (SSA & Main Street).

City – Reggie and Doug

Absent Larry

Guests: Wes Kendall from Community Health Care and Jose Mendoza 15th Ave. property owner

Approval of Minutes: February – minutes were presented and a motion to accept as written by John with a second from Michelle minutes are approved.

Financial Report – Financial report given by Doug, motion to approve Patricia second John financial report approved.

Façade/Fencing Program – no new applications, but several people have gotten applications recently.

Bills – Adam Guthrie: Patricia’s and Michelle’s for Respect Abilities, motion by John with second from Martin, bills will be paid.

Directors Report – Adam: Dan Guerrero from D’s was appointed to the SSA at the City Council Meeting on Monday and the Mayor will be appointing another person soon.

Flower Report – Michelle Horton – Adam will be connecting Michelle and Meyer to facilitate dates and planting information. In the hopes to grow baskets a couple weeks before hanging them.

Main Street Report – Patricia Hansen: Patricia met with Todd from the City Maintenance regarding concrete at Runner’s Park and the Commons, we are all working together for these projects. EMMS Sponsorship deadline is April 1st. Runner’s Park has been selected as a recipient for a RME One Sound piano and Respect Abilities has generously offered to sponsor this project. Have been reaching out to new businesses and our meeting attendance is growing.

Runner’s Park – Phase 3 proceeding as planned.

9th Street Commons – Proceeding as planned.

New Business – If you find trip hazards or sink holes, please forward locations to City Annex. The Board needs to vote again on the officers in April.
