City of Moline Library Board of Trustees Art Committee met July 26.

Call to Order
Committee member, Dee Runnels, called the meeting to order at 3:37p.m. in the Library Platinum room.
Gardens Project Art Feature
Discussion had on the Moline Library Gardens art feature. Lear will look into if the art feature needs to go out to bid with a request for proposal (RFP). Zahn suggested having an idea for the feature, including a budget and dimensions. Lear will reach out to Shive-Hattery for estimated dimensions of art feature space from the renderings. Zahn shared how the process has worked for him personally with previous jobs done and gave insight on producing maquetts (miniature versions of a larger sculpture). He suggested sending information to Quad City Arts if an RFP is required. Discussion was had on potential fundraising options. Lear will report back with findings from the City and Shive-Hattery.

Payment for the pieces from Steve Maxon was confirmed and a check request has been sent.

There being no further business brought before the Art Committee, the meeting was adjourned at 4:27p.m.
