City of Moline Library Board of Trustees met Sept. 26.

Call to Order
Committee Chair, Regina Nelson, called the meeting to order at 12:35p.m. in the Library Silver/Bronze room.
Discussion of Gardens Project Art Feature
Zahn shared concept ideas for the Moline Library Gardens art feature. He shared various drawings and pictures, including inspirations and past works. Zahn shared his process for creating such work and will provide a contract to the Board in the coming weeks. The timeframe was noted and discussion on payment was had. The committee discussed adding another voting member and Nelson agreed to reach out to Kate Schaefer. There was a recommendation from the committee to bring the following to the full Library Board for approval next month:
1) Approval to hire David Zahn to do the art feature for the Moline library Gardens.
2) Approval of Zahn’s concept drawings.
3) Approval for Art Committee to make financial decisions not to exceed $50,000 and to enter into and administer a contract with Zahn.
