The Illinois Department of Corrections is set to host a series of informational events for individuals interested in pursuing careers within the department. The events will provide prospective applicants with insights into various job opportunities available within the DOC, including positions such as correctional officers, nurses, social workers, office associates, and more.

According to a statement from the department, "DOC is looking for correctional officers, but also nurses, social workers, office associates and more." This indicates a wide range of roles that individuals can explore within the Illinois Department of Corrections.

Specifically for individuals in the local area, DOC recruiters will be available for meetings with interested applicants at Black Hawk College in Moline on March 21. Additionally, a workshop will be held in Havana on April 17.
