In recent events around the 71st district, various community engagements have taken place, bringing together local residents and leaders. A notable attendee expressed, "It is always great to get out and around the communities of the 71st district."

One of the highlights was the Henry County Pork Producers Banquet, where appreciation was extended to the Ag/FFA Advisors from Cambridge, Kewanee, and Geneseo for their contributions to Ag Education. A message of congratulations was also shared with the scholarship winners present at the event. The President of the Illinois Pork Producers Association, Cheryl Walsh, was acknowledged, with a participant noting, "It was great to hear from Cheryl Walsh."

Acknowledgment was also given to Henry County Pork and the event sponsors for their support. Highlighting the significance of the pork industry in Illinois, it was mentioned that the state is the 4th largest pork-producing state with over 57,000 jobs related to the industry.

In another community gathering, individuals had the opportunity to have breakfast at the Clover Fire Department, where they toured new buildings and enjoyed a meal with friends. Reflecting on the experience, one individual shared, "We toured the new buildings and enjoyed our breakfast with friends!"

The weekend culminated in a special moment as Michael Gooding’s Court of Honor took place, celebrating his achievement of becoming an Eagle Scout. Michael's impactful project involved the repair and painting of park benches and picnic tables at Roseville Park. Commending Michael's efforts, it was stated, "He did a great job. Congratulations Michael."
