State Senator Neil Anderson | Illinois General Assembly
State Senator Neil Anderson has released a statement criticizing the passage of Senate Bill 2412. In his statement, Senator Anderson expressed strong opposition to the bill, accusing the Democrats of manipulating the election process for their benefit.
Senator Anderson condemned the bill, stating, “We always hear about cheating and election interference, well here it is. While the democratic gerrymandering of maps wasn’t good enough for the left, now they’ve passed a bill during election season to change the rules and stack the deck for their favored incumbent candidates and highjack our elections.”
Furthermore, Senator Anderson argued, “This isn’t about updating process or cleaning up rules, this is democrats putting their thumb on the scales of democracy to line their pockets and strengthen their hierarchy in our state. This is a blatant abuse of power and insanely undemocratic.”
The senator's statement reflects his concerns about the integrity of the electoral process and his belief that the bill is a partisan maneuver to benefit certain political candidates at the expense of fair and democratic elections.
